There’s Some Beer
(by Gorlan of the Red Lands, based on the first line of Chorus by Luke
the Fool, 1999)
(Tune: "Over at the Frankenstein Place" by Richard O'Brien)
At any war in Drachenwald
At any time of Year
There’s always Beer
At the Fat Guy Camp
It’s waiting there
Yes Beer!
Cold and Damp.
There’s Some Beer
(Over at the Fat Guy Camp)
There’s Some Beer
(chilled foamy, cold and damp)
There’s some Beer, Beer!
By the campfire
At the Fat Guy’s Camp
The Thirst, it must go
Drowned in amber foamy liquid
Flow beer tap flow
Into my Mug
And beer comes pouring
Into my throat
Into my Throat------.
There’s Some Beer
(Over at the Fat Guy’s Camp)
There’s Some Beer
(chilled, foamy, cold and damp)
There’s some Beer, Beer!
By the campfire
At the Fat Guy’s Camp
The Story Behind this Song
At a recent Crown Tournament, we had to trudge up a hill to get up to the Castle where the fighting was to be held. Fat Guys do not as a rule do not go anywhere fast, unless there is a shield wall and combat involved. So as I was slowly trudging up the hill, Luke the Fool came past singing the first line of the Chorus. I am not sure if he was taunting me or was suggesting we go back to the camp for some beer. You can never tell with Luke.
