Pennsic War Dreaming

(by Lord Gorlan of the Red Lands, 1998)
(Tune: "California Dreamin'" by the Mommas and the Poppas)

    All my foes are dead
    (foes are dead)
There's no one left to play
    (no one left to play)
    No lives left to resurrect
    ( nor more resurrect)
A real bummer I must Say
    (bummer any away)
I know that I'd still be fighting
    (Still be fighting)
If I was in Pensic, PA
    (Pensic PA)
    Pensic war dreaming
    After a Drachenwald war melee

    Broke down a shield wall
    (A shield wall)
    That got in my way
    (Got in my way)
    Killing left and right
    (Left and right)
    A berserker in the fray
    (in the fray)
But all too soon it ended
    (too soon it ended)
They're going to call it a day
    (calling it a day)
    Pensic war dreaming
    After a Drachenwald melee

So I'll just bide my time
    (biding my time)
    Until I PCS
    (Get the PCS)
    Fight in mini melees
    (mini melees)
    With 40 fighters at best
    (40 fighters at best)
But it's two years till I go back
    (Till I go back)
Where there are thousands at play
    (Thousands at play)
    Pensic War Dreaming
    After a Drachenwald Melee

History. The Story Behind this Song

While I love fighting and playing in Europe, there are times I still wish I was back in the USA so I could make it to the larger Wars. We have fun here, but I have fought at events where there were only 10 fighters there.
