Hey, Hey, We’re the Fat Guys
(by Gorlan of the Red Lands, 1999)
(Tune: "Theme From The Monkees" by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart ©1966)
Here we come
Drinking all that Beer
We Bring fun to Events
At any time of Year
Chorus:
Hey Hey we’re the Fat Guys
Some people don’t want us to come
Because the Middle Ages must be Serious
And we are having way too much Fun
We just live large and happy
We don’t listen to what the Grundys say
They are free to do their own thing
But don’t tell us how we have to play
When we Fight
We do it with Gusto
Lots of heavy head Bashing
We give quite a show
Chorus
When its time to work
We do it the right way
But when work is over
We want go out to play
Chorus
So if you must be serious
Hey, more power to you
But take the Flamingo’s warning
Our encampment’s not for you
Chorus
The Story Behind this Song
See the story behind the song "The No No Go Go song." The "Lady" involved was at it again. And I have to admit it really p*ssed me off for a few days this time. Sometimes it’s just to say "So?" Hypocrisy bothers me. At the same event that she was complaining about us, she passed out drunk in the feast hall and had be carried to her room. As far I can recall, all the Fat Guys made to our beds under our own power. Yet she goes around to other members of the Barony saying things like "We don’t want a bunch of drunken Fat Guys to come this Demo, that’s the last thing we need." The Fat Guys to my knowledge have never set up an encampment at a Demo. Most of us have been playing the game long enough to know where and when certain behaviors are allowed or not. In any case after a cooling off, this song was the result.
