You Can't Ignore My Best Shot
(by Lord Gorlan of the Red Lands, 1998)
(Tune: "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" by Pat Benitar)
You're a real tough rhino with a long history
Of ignoring all shots, like the ones from me
I've had enough, buddy, you just blew it
I'm gonna power up, So lets get down to it
You can't ignore my best shot
It can dent twelve gauge, light it's not
If I hit you with my best shot
They're gonna haul you away.
When I'm hit you full power, you're gonna be sore
With dents and bruises, you can't ignore
I tried to be nice, but you wouldn't play fair
The next shot's gonna knock you on your derriere
You can't ignore my best shot
It can dent twelve gauge, light it's not
If I hit you with my best shot
They're gonna haul you away.
Go and cry excessive force, you left me no choice
No one will listen to your whiney voice
You stopped fighting with honor such a long time ago
You're gonna see stars with my next blow
You can't ignore my best shot
It can dent twelve gauge, light it's not
If I hit you with my best shot
They're gonna haul you away.
The Story Behind this Song
Not aimed at any one in particular or a practice I recommend. In
Drachenwald the "normal" killing blow is about 3/5 the power that it takes
in the West. To fight over here I have had to power down my shots to avoid
complaints. I have "Powered up" on more than one occasion, but I'll
normally stop fighting before I get to point of this song. The game stops
being fun when people are getting hurt. But I still get PO'ed when I land a
shot hard enough to dent 14 ga. steel, and it's called light. The song is a result
of that frustration.
